The Via Verda del Delta de l’Ebre is a route in development that will cover the Delta de l’Ebre area in three sections, offering a natural and cultural walk along an old train track.
Description of the Sections:
Section 1: L’Aldea-Lligallos
Length: 1,870 meters.
Features: This section has been adapted on the old railway path, transformed into a walk that honors the history of the railway in the region. Along the route, you can see an old train carriage as a monument in tribute to the workers of the original station, along with the old station building, now a tourist office. It also has an area for motorhomes.
Services and Attractions: On the edge of the urban center of L’Aldea, the route offers access to various restaurants and shops, becoming an attractive option for those looking to combine nature and local gastronomy.
Section 2: Lligallos-Camarles
Status: Currently in the process of conditioning.
Future: This section will connect Lligallos with Camarles, expanding the route and allowing users to enjoy a longer route.
Section 3: Camarles-L’Ampolla (Coastline)
Status: Also in the process of being fixed.
Objective: It will link the route directly to the coast, allowing the path to extend from the interior of L’Aldea to the sea in L’Ampolla.
When fully enabled, this route will be ideal for cyclists, hikers and visitors who wish to explore the Ebro Delta on an easy and accessible route, combining history, nature and coastal views.
