 Delta Beach

El Trabucador is, without a doubt, one of the essential spaces to visit in the Ebro Delta. It consists of an arm of sand that juts out into the sea, connecting the Ebro Delta with Punta de la Banya. Therefore, in this oasis of tranquility you can see the sea on both sides and even enjoy the warm and calm waters of the Mediterranean.

Currently, the route through the sand appendage can be done only a 2km stretch with a vehicle and 6.5km by bicycle or on foot.

[Moving with a vehicle is easy, although if you deviate from the area where cars circulate, you run the risk of getting stuck in the sand.]

How to get to El Trabucador?

A DESERT BETWEEN TWO BEACHES

El Trabucador is a huge sand bar where you can find two different beaches: an outside beach, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, and an inside beach, in the Alfaques Bay.

SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES

El Trabucador is the area of the Delta where most water activities are carried out, such as kitesurfing, paddle surfing, windsurfing…
The activities are carried out in the interior of the Bay, exactly in the Alfaques Bay. The reason why these activities are carried out in this area is the shallow depth of water in the vicinity of the El Trabucador bar. This makes it an ideal place for people who are just starting out in this type of activity without much difficulty.

DREAM SUNSETS

The ideal place to see the best sunsets is the Barra de El Trabucador pier. From the dock, you can see a magnificent sunset that connects with the mountains of the town of San Carlos de la Rápita or “Les Salines de la Trinidad”.

At the El trabucador pier, there is an artificial wooden footbridge that goes into the bay. This platform facilitates different perspectives of the landscape, so you can take impressive photos (no need to be professional!).

THE TRABUCADOR A LIMITED SPACE

Access to Trabucador beach is free throughout the year except in July and August.

Due to the large crowds and to have a better control of the traffic of vehicles; Access to this natural space has been regulated in order to conserve it, protect it and improve the experience.

If you are interested in visiting the beach during the summer, I recommend you visit the following website where you will find all the information and also the possibility of reserving a parking space.
