One of the most unique places in the Delta is La Punta del Fangar or, in other words, the Delta desert.
The Delta is practically occupied by rice fields, as well as other types of green and natural areas. However, there is a desert and sandy site, characterized by its unique terrain: La Punta del Fangar.
To visit it, it is highly recommended to bring light clothing, sports shoes and a lot of water to avoid dehydration.
La Punta del Fangar is one of the most visited hiking sites in the Delta. The main reason is that the only way to get to the peninsula is on foot.
To do the route is recommended:
- Take extra clothes in case a bit of wind comes up.
- Wear suitable shoes to be able to walk well on the sand.
- Take mosquito repellent.
- Wear sun protection during the summer.
- Bring water to hydrate during the journey.
