The Laguna de la Tancada, which covers an area of some 250 hectares, is of great importance for its exceptional natural environment and rich fauna and vegetation.

SEE THE FLAMINGOS OF THE LAGOON

La Tancada lagoon is the perfect natural space for bird watching. It is the lagoon with the highest density of flamingos in the entire Delta.

In this lagoon we also can observe a great variety of birds, such as gulls, different species of ducks, marine crows…

There are 3 important viewpoints in the lagoon:

CYCLING (BICYCLE ROUTES THROUGH THE TANCADA AND ITS SURROUNDINGS)

If you like cycling, one of the best possible activities is to do an itinerary route through La Tancada Lagoon and its surroundings.

During the route, you can observe some unique points of interest in the Delta. Among others, you can find some old huts.

[It is recommended to take a hat, mosquito repellent and water for hydration.]

LA TANCADA, A WORLD OF COLOURS

In the surroundings of the Lagoon, we can find different natural environments, such as: the fields of Salobral, located in the Lagoon; the beach of Eucalyptus and the old salt mines of Sant Antoni, located at the south of the Observatory of La Tancada.

In the north-east of the lagoon, we can also find some fields where you can see bulls.
